New York City declares tomorrow to be Foursquare Day

John Moe Apr 15, 2011

Which is fine and kind of weird but whatever. New York, you know? What are you gonna do?

The location based social media whatever was started in New York. Users have been lobbying to get some recognition from Mayor Michael Bloomberg for the service that is always about to take the world by storm and never quite does. But Bloomberg visited the company’s headquarters recently and issued the proclamation. Lingering question: will Bloomberg still be the mayor that day or will the title go to whichever hipster coffee shop lingerer checks in the most?
The idea is to promote New York as a tech innovator.
