Modern homes are messing with your Wi-Fi

John Moe Apr 14, 2011

Some new houses are being built with something called Protect TF200 Thermo. It wraps around the guts of a house like aluminum foil, and it boasts “enhanced thermal protection.” It also has a “low emissivity layer,” which means it might make your Wi-Fi signals bounce around in unexpected ways. Buy one of these houses, and you might be sitting in your beautiful new home and not able to use Wi-Fi to get online. What a drag.
