Federal Reserve to hold regular news conferences

Kai Ryssdal Mar 24, 2011

This final note today. A cure, perhaps, for insomnia, and/or more programming opportunities for C-SPAN. For the first time in the history of the Republic, the chairman of the Federal Reserve will be holding regular news conferences. The Fed made the announcement today. Mr. Bernanke will meet reporters four times a year, each one of them after a Fed meeting on interest rates.

The first one’s April 27th, don’t miss it.
