TV’s favorite commercial characters now available as action figures

G.I. Joe is SO 20 years ago. Who wants to play with a super hero action figure when you can play with one of TV’s favorite commercial characters. Connecticut-based HeroBuilders has launched a line of action figures featuring the “Old Spice Guy,” Dos Equis’ “Most Interesting Man in the World,” and “Mayhem” from Allstate’s insurance commercials.

According to HeroBuilder’s owner Emil Vicale, the action figures embody TV’s newest trend in advertising — ultra-masculine male characters.

“I’m tired of all this sensitivity in men,” said Vicale in an phone interview with AOLNews. “As soon as the Old Spice guy came out, I said, ‘I gotta do it.’ And, along with the Mayhem guy, these are men finally acting like men.”

The action figures are priced between $49.95 and $59.95, and are available online.
