American Idol voting will be available on Facebook

John Moe Feb 25, 2011

The crazy popular singing/shrieking contest known as American Idol relies on audience voting to determine who gets to be crowned the next non-threatening doe-eyed man-child to win the crown and be instantly forgotten. SHOW BUSINESS! But up until now the voting was all done by text messaging or phone calls because apparently we live in a world without an internet. Actually, online polls haven’t been used because of hacking concerns and because of how easy it is to flood an online vote and tilt the results. So it’s going to be done through Facebook this year in addition to calls and texts. It’s thought that Facebook will be more secure and allow only one vote per Facebook user. I love you, Kelly Clarkson and I don’t care who knows it.
