Can you solve the federal deficit?

Katharine Crnko Feb 17, 2011

Want to solve the U.S. debt crisis? You may have more success in cutting the federal deficit than the politicians in Washington. Today on Marketplace Morning Report, Steve Chiotakis spoke to Steven Kull of the Center on Policy Attitudes at the University of Maryland. The non-profit research center partnered with the University of Maryland on a survey that found average people can easily solve the budget deficit. Want to give it crack? The center’s budget exercise allows you to design the federal budget, analyze government revenues, and even tackle Social Security.

Or you if you’re up for a fun challenge, you can decide where your tax dollars go by playing Budget Hero on Marketplace.org. And be sure to listen to Marketplace’s interview with Steven Kull.
