The New York Stock Exchange has agreed to a merger with Deutsche Borse. It’ll be a step to survive, and one that’ll leave stocks mainly behind. President Obama defended his 2012 budget today. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced her department’s plans to support Internet freedom. Chevron is on the hook for $9 billion in Ecuador, and it could be a long legal battle ahead.

  • Fall Back (instrumental) – Dear Jayne Ft. The DreamBuy
  • Smoke on the Water – Pat BooneBuy
  • Classical Gas – Mason WilliamsBuy
  • Hardgroove – The RH FactorBuy

Marketplace is on a mission.

We believe Main Street matters as much as Wall Street, economic news is made relevant and real through human stories, and a touch of humor helps enliven topics you might typically find…well, dull.

Through the signature style that only Marketplace can deliver, we’re on a mission to raise the economic intelligence of the country—but we don’t do it alone. We count on listeners and readers like you to keep this public service free and accessible to all. Will you become a partner in our mission today?
