There are some screen shots going around about a supposed storefront where you can buy hacked access to a whole host of .gov, .mil, and .edu sites.

So for example, for just $499, you can buy root access (full control) to, a site whose stated purpose is "to develop, acquire, provide and sustain and Battle Command capabilities for the joint warfighter."

The security company Impervia was the first to uncover the site, which is stunningly brazen in its user friendly layout and darkly hilarious prices ending in nines, as if it were Wal-Mart or something. The site is riddled with typos, which can either make you think it's all a careless hoax but maybe it's legit and the guy just isn't into spelling.
