Myspace hammer comes down

John Moe Jan 11, 2011

As expected, 500 people get laid off. That’s 47% of their work force. I actually was putting this in the show, this little item, and I struggled with whether to say it was a “sad day” at Myspace. I mean, in one sense, yes of course. Things are sliding there, must be a drag, and obviously losing your job sucks. But I wonder if there’s a sense or relief a little bit too, especially among those who have skills that could be used at other tech companies.
