The official census numbers were released today, and Mitchell Hartman took a look at how they represented the U.S. Kai spoke to actress and comedian Molly Erdman about her website “Catalog Living,” which depicts a fictional world based on furniture catalogs. Congress passed a budget bill today, extending the same amount of funding used this past year, and the FCC passed rules on net neutrality. Retailers expected less shopping this season, which might mean fewer options for those doing last-minute shopping. More and more tech apps are being aimed toward children. And in the wake of the first holiday season under austerity cuts in the U.K., Stephen Beard reported on the roots of the U.K. social welfare system. Here are the songs we played:
- Insects – Woodsman
- No One’s Gonna Love You – Cee-Lo GreenBuy
- Super Duper Rescue Heads! – Deerhoof
- Hippasus – Design A Wave
