Zuckerberg goes to China

John Moe Dec 20, 2010

Facebook is blocked in China but Zuckerberg was there to meet with the top brass at Baidu, the search engine of choice/availability for Chinese people. It’s doubtful that the Chinese government would throw open the gates for something as free speechy as The Face but they could conceivably allow a censored version of the site with some sort of back door mechanism for government censorship on the fly. But would Zuckerberg go for that? A lot of people, a lot of money, a lot of power, a lot of compromising.
