Christmas hasn’t even come and gone and I’m already thinking about getting rid of the tree. I just don’t want to forget in the hustle and bustle of the season. Better to come up with a plan now then wait, right?
Your city or town might have a scheduled curb-side pick-up day for recycling your Christmas trees, but they’re easy to miss. You can also try Earth911.com. That site has a searchable database of recycling centers around the country. Just type “Christmas tree” in the search box, give them your zip code, and they’ll display the closest recycling options. If that doesn’t work, try searching for “Christmas Tree,” “recycle” and the name of your county.
And, if you do something unusual with your tree after the holiday–let us know about it!
