Commercials soon to get quieter

The Commercial Advertisement Loudness Mitigation Act, or the CALM Act has been passed through Congress and now is just waiting for a signature from President Obama. The bill will give advertisers one year to make commercials the same level of loudness as the programs they’re interrupting. It will give the FCC the authority to set and enforce a loudness cap, too.
