2.5 million Kinects sold

John Moe Nov 30, 2010

Microsoft’s goal of 5 million Kinects sold this year seemed awfully ambitious when it was first announced but it looks like they’ll get there. The company is reporting that they’ve sold over 2.5 million of the systems so far, selling at a rate of 100,000 per day. Make no mistake: this is the hot gaming item and maybe hot overall toy of this holiday season. Microsoft doesn’t get nearly enough credit for being completely awesome at games.
