Google brain drain?

John Moe Nov 29, 2010

The New York Times has a feature on the potential brain drain at Google as some top employees head over to Facebook, frustrated with the greater bureaucracy that has come with the rapid growth of the company. The article has lots of denials from Google about the existence of said drain. “We hire more people in a week than go to Facebook in its lifetime,” says Eric Schmidt. The most interesting angle in this article is the reported existence of a sort of internal incubator within Google where employees can work on ideas for new businesses while also working at Google.
