Rupert Murdoch plans iPad newspaper

Later on, he’ll design a cassette tape that runs as a CD. The media mogul plans to launch The Daily, a newspaper designed to be read on the iPad. He’s reportedly invested 30 million dollars and is employing 100 people to launch the venture, which will publish once a day, in the evening, and will be designed to look like a newspaper. There will be some updates over the course of the day but not at anywhere near the pace of other big news sites. David Carr of the NYT reports in a kind of pessimistic way here.
