Verizon to pay the FCC and customers

John Moe Oct 28, 2010

I’m not really sure how much of a difference $25 million makes to a company like Verizon (they’ll probably make that in the opening seconds of the Verizon iPhone’s release) but it will still be the largest payment to the FCC in history. This after the company settled a complaint that it had unfairly charged 15 million customers for accessing data networks. Those customers will also get very very small compensatory payments which will cost Verizon at least $52 million.
