California’s Election Day ballot will present Proposition 23, an initiative that would halt the state’s climate change law until unemployment drops to 5 percent. But dissenters are saying stopping the law blocks job creation too. Kai spoke to Drew Brown, a veteran reality producer who is now working on Craigslist TV, an online TV docuseries hosted by the directory site. Commentator Daniel Drezner said Americans shouldn’t blame deteriorating values for our economy, but should focus on building incentives instead. The French are still protesting a proposal to raise the retirement age, and Stephen Beard explained why. We also stories about the continuing foreclosure processes and Citigroup’s latest quarterly report. Here are the songs we played:

  • We Are Family – Sister SledgeBuy
  • Page 17 – LanguisBuy
  • Northside Diehard – MatlockBuy
  • Diplo Remix – RJD2
  • Hidden Treasure – Jonny Kaplan and the Lazy StarsBuy
