Gene Simmons neutralized by 4Chan

John Moe Oct 18, 2010

Occasionally in this space we talk about the internet-crushing power of 4Chan, a group of self-described web vigilantes who gather on a message board and mess with people. Their targets tend to be anyone who defends the notion of copyright. So when Kiss front toad Gene Simmons made statements against online file sharing recently, 4Chan members launched a small denial of service attack on his site and slowed things down a bit. Then Simmons made a BIG statement, promising to sue the perpetrators, saying they would end up in jail. So they just absolutely nuked the hell out of his site. 4Chan isn’t like Peter Criss, Gene. You can’t just push them around.

GeneSimmons.com is still down.
