Cut and paste technology eludes Windows Phone 7

None of the new crop of Windows Phone 7 phones (love that inescapable bit of grammar) will have cut and paste capability coming out of the gate. Microsoft says that the technology will be available in 2011 now that so many people have asked for it. I’m left to wonder, did any potential customers ever tell Microsoft that this very basic component of personal computing was somehow UNnecessary?
