D.C. electronic voting system attacked by Wolverines!

John Moe Oct 5, 2010

Imagine you’re in charge of a new electronic voting system in Washington, D.C. You’re confident that it’s secure so you challenge hackers of the world to try, JUST TRY, to hack into it. Then a few days later you notice that something kind of weird happens when someone votes in the test run:

It seems that a professor at the University of Michigan, a professor who had worked on the system himself, passed the challenge along to his students.
And they hacked it. Is that extra credit?
