TEXT OF STORY

Tess Vigeland: Californians will vote on an historic ballot proposition this year. One that would legalize possession of marijuana. Meanwhile, the state is still grappling with its current law, which allows marijuana use for medical purposes.

The latest battle lines are being drawn in the town of Norco, Calif. That’s Norco, by the way, not narco. Two members of a medical marijuana collective were cited for operating a rolling dispensary. Selling pot out of a motorhome. The couple says they will fight the citation in court.

The Marketplace Players know a few people who hope they win.

MEDICAL MARIJUANA WOMAN: La, la, la, la…

TRUCK DRIVER #1: Hey, dude. You’re the dudes who sell weed, right?

MEDICAL MARIJUANA WOMAN: Um, we are a roving medical cannabis dispensary.

TRUCK DRIVER #1: Right on; you cool if I park my truck over here beside you?

MEDICAL MARIJUANA WOMAN: Uh, are you a patient?

TRUCK DRIVER #1: No, I sell tacos. I’ll just pull it over here. All right.

MEDICAL MARIJUANA WOMAN: Um, you understand we cater to sick people, right?

TRUCK DRIVER #1: Yeah, sick with the munchies.

TRUCK DRIVER #2: Hey, you’re the weed truck!

MEDICAL MARIJUANA WOMAN: Medical. Cannabis.

TRUCK DRIVER #2 Cool. We’re the peanut-butter pizza truck.

TRUCK DRIVER #1: All right! How long have you guys been around?

TRUCK DRIVER #2: Since we heard about the weed truck. We’ll park over there.

TRUCK DRIVER #3: Hey, you got room for a jolly rancher and eyedrops truck?

MEDICAL MARIJUANA WOMAN: No, we do not.

TRUCK DRIVER #2: Sure dude, over here, I’ll guide you in!

MAN: Howdy.

MEDICAL MARIJUANA WOMAN: What’re you selling?!!

MAN: Uh, I’m Woody Harrelson.

ALL TRUCK DRIVERS: WE’RE RICH!!!
