A list of 2010’s expensive stuff

Daryl Paranada Apr 16, 2010

Businessweek has a cool feature on the world’s most expensive stuff 2010. While most of us scaled back on spending because of the recession, it seems some of the well-to-do were willing to spend gajillions on big-ticket items – everything from a 557-foot mega-yacht that has two helipads to a $104 million sculpture called L’Homme qui marche I (Walking Man I), one of the most expensive works of art ever sold at auction.

Other cool, if expensive, items:

  • The world’s most expensive TV is the PrestigeHD Supreme Rose designed by Stuart Hughes. Price: $2.3 million. If you’re wondering why, it’s because the 55-inch TV is covered in 18-carat rose gold and 72 diamonds.

  • The most expensive domain name: Insure.com. Price: $16 million

  • Most expensive house in the world? It’s got its own name, Antilla. Located in downtown Mumbai, India, the 27-story, 570-foot tower is worth billions.
