The Big Three are facing pressure to close the sale today on a federal bailout. Top brass will deliver turnaround business plans to Congress in hope of getting a 25 billion dollar safety net. It’s time to show they can cut cost and build better cars. There’ll be days of hearings and a final vote. Smart money is betting on passage of some kind of loan package, but with strings attached.
