Who killed the dream and how can we preserve it? Quick! Grab the salt, a dehydrator, a freezer, or perhaps more appropriately historians. Was it the government with social security and the retirement of the boomers? Maybe, Walmart with coorperate greed and uneducated over-consuming? Perhaps Dick with The War and lenghty deployments? Many of us in the middle class have a clue: greedy people are to blame. What should we do? What CAN we do? The American dream with good jobs, paid vacation, pension & health care is gone,"Flat"lined. I console myself with the thought that I(one 28 year old mom of four) am living the Mexican dream, the Iraqi dream, and the military wife's dream. Count your blessings.
