Marketplace Money is on hiatus this week

Bertin Solis, right, plays with his little brother Octavio on a playground near their apartment in San Diego. Bertin grew up in deep poverty, but he’s making decisions now that will help him climb into the middle class after he graduates college.

Looking for this week's Marketplace Money show? We are on hiatus this week because we're hard at work for stories we will bring you on October 5. The Money team and the Wealth and Poverty Desk are in San Diego, preparing stories for a show that examines the tough choices and tradeoffs poor people have to make when it comes to spending their money.

Join us next week and check in for quizzes, a poverty calculator, videos, and more. Until then, check out our special broadcast on the financial crisis in collaboration with the BBC.
