When I told Bank of America to cease giving me overdraft protection at $35 per transaction, customer service told me that lifting this charge would be "a service we do not offer." Barney Frank and the feds have told BOA it must do away with this fee this year. I would rather get a "DECLINED" message at the store when my account is dry. What the teller told this listener is nonsense; 3 years ago, it allowed customers to opt out of this overdraft protection--but then did not honor this. The type of overdraft protection he describes is something you have to actively sign up for. THANK YOU Marketplace for reminding me to switch to an online bank. Now to shop for one....
NOTE: Without an "HTTPS" Link, I;m forced to fake all my Info above.
The Reason for it, was that I was about to make a Comment about an Issue which you've announced today, you'll be discussing tomorrow, and I wanted to give you my Input, which while quite Relevant, is also Extremely Personal, but I Cannot/Will Not do so, without an "HTTPS" Link, which would provide me with at least a Semblance of Privacy.
Guess *I* won't do so...until *YOU* Do so. The only correct thing is my email addrss.--which I only check up once in a great while, since most of what I get in there is SPAM--all else is not.
Thanks for nothing!
