What’s next for the Dragon?

John Moe Dec 9, 2010

A Dragon flew to space, you guys. And came back! Well, a rocket called the Dragon anyway. Happened yesterday and it was the first privately funded craft to go to space and return safely, thus blowing the minds of space enthusiasts. It was unmanned. It was more of a public-pricate partnership than strictly a private enterprise. NASA provided a lot of the funding for the Dragon but they did not build or test it, they were the client not the operator. The hope is that Dragon and vehicles like it can eventually be sent up to the International Space Station to resupply it, eliminating the need to send a shuttle full of astronauts up there every time.
