Trust all my company's data to Google? Well, don't mind if I d... Oh, wait.

Here's an update related to our show from this morning: We told you about Google's upcoming release of the Chromebook. It's a computer that contains no data because you store it all "in the cloud" -- in this case, with Google.

Well, at about the same time as the Chromebook news was sweeping the globe, Google was undergoing a massive outage on one of its major services: Blogger. It took Google at least a day to start getting people's blogs back online.

Sounds like everything is back now. Let the emo blogging resume.

But when you're asking people and companies to imagine the benefits of computing in the cloud, being able to access their data from your servers any time and any where... well, timing is everything.
