New Flaming Lips song is complicated

That’s because the band has released it as twelve separate YouTube videos, which all must be played at the same time in order to hear the song. They’ve done stuff like this before, using multiple car stereos or boom boxes to create a sort of interactive symphony. In this case the elements form a song called “Two Blobs F*cking” with layer #9 being a spoken word track of a story:

The tale recounts a dark sci-fi (or drug-induced) exploration of a building foreman’s office and concludes in a bizarre discovery that gives the song its jolting name. Occasionally the narrator’s tone is subtly altered; the shifts imply he’s not completely human.
