Lizamoon attack hits hundreds of thousands of sites

John Moe Apr 1, 2011

Hackers have been able to hijack hundreds of thousands of websites in the past 48 hours and insert redirects in them that take you to a sham security site. The attack has been dubbed Lizamoon after the first site to be infected. When you go to a site with this problem, you’re taken to another site that says it’s the Windows Stability Center. Windows does not have a Stability Center, it’s a front for malware they install. Jerks. The attackers are taking advantage of a security flaw in Microsoft SQL Servers.
