Bucs ditch books

John Moe Aug 26, 2011

Management for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (that’s a football team, public radio fans) (no, not soccer, the violent American football with helmets) decided to give each player an iPad 2 to replace their old playbooks. The Bucs are the United Airlines pilots of the NFL! Maybe Bill Belichick will take up hacking. Players can study plays and videos on the devices, but the first time someone leaves one in a hotel room or on an airplane, we might see an end to this practice.

Also, when a player is about to be cut, he’ll now hear “Coach wants to see you. Bring your iPad.”
