Blackberry to users: Sorry. We are really, really sorry.

Marc Sanchez Oct 13, 2011

After three days of worldwide outages, BlackBerry users are, for the most part, able to use their phones to send email, browse the web, and use the BBM service for messages. Handset maker, Research in Motion, is still in the process of clearing all the unsent data from their network, and as Reuters reports “On Wednesday, the company said it would eventually deliver all delayed email and instant messages to customers in five continents affected by the outage, but later told some of its corporate clients that it may not clear the huge backlog of messages until Thursday morning on the U.S. East Coast.”

Mike Lazaridis, Blackberry’s founder posted a video apologizing for the recent unpleasantness.

Really what can you say though to make it better? And of course with the release of the iPhone 4s tomorrow the timing really could not have been worse. Goodbye RIM – we will stop by in a few months and flowers on your grave….maybe during the next earnings announcement.
