All problems to be solved thanks to solar windows!

John Moe Jun 27, 2011

You guys you guys you guys. A company called Pythagoras Solar in San Mateo, California has developed a type of window pane that is laced with solar cells. It can generate electricity. A lot of office buildings have tried putting a small clump of solar panels on their roofs but the idea here is to cover the whole building in them and make each building a sort of power plant. The company is cagey about cost but says the panels will pay for themselves in a few years. Last week the company won a $100,000 grant from GE. The windows aren’t as clear as regular windows, they’re said to look like open Venetian blinds.
