I nearly spit out my gum when I heard Heidi Moore say we "can't afford to cover everybody," betraying that she knows pretty much nothing useful about the health care reform proposals.
That "not covering everybody" strategy is pretty much what we do now. We "save" money by leaving a significant number of folks out in the cold or with severely substandard care.
How's that working? We spend more than any other country in the world. And we have among the worst health outcomes in the Free World.
Why are you giving Heidi Moore a platform to speak on this topic instead of someone who knows what they're talking about?
I thought this wrap-up segment on health care was useless. In stead of spending the time talking about how confusing the bills are, you should have had guests who understood enough to, with the time permitted, tell listeners specific components in the bills. There was nothing informative in this segment. You must do better.
