TEXT OF STORY

Scott Jagow: Finally, a personal note. Today is my last day hosting the Morning Report. But I won't be going far. I'll be taking on a new role at Marketplace, as the lead blogger for our Web site. And I'll be hosting our weekly podcast, After the Bell. In both roles, I'll be sharing perspectives on the economy and interacting with listeners.

I look forward to it and to working when the sun is out. I've thoroughly enjoyed the last three and a half years. And I hope you'll join me in the online world at marketplace.org.

In Los Angeles, I'm Scott Jagow. Thank you for listening, and I'll talk to you soon.

You'll be missed, Scott. Your radio spot was the best 10 minutes of my morning. Enjoyed every one. It was your delivery and choice of topics that made it so good.

I am soooo sad! I love your reports! Your voice, your delivery, the snippets of music your choose to go with the stories are very enjoyable. I don't usually pay too much attention to financial news and I know so much more because of you. I am happy for you that you can sleep in and "Here Comes The Sun" is my absolute favorite Beatles song. Good luck and I will seek you out online.

NOO!! I was so bummed to hear you were leaving. I get ready for work in the dark early morning hours and I always enjoyed your voice - and actually even payed attention to a little bit of money news. Your chipper, friendly attitude will certainly be missed.

I've done AM radio before, so I get the refreshing concept of rising WITH the sun :)

Best of luck in your new endeavor.

Scott, my whole morning hinged around your report: I always made sure I was in the car and not pumping gas when you reported. You're great, period. I have a suspicion that the change was made to reflect a more somber tone, which your buoyant voice may not be the right fit for. Glad you're still around though.

Scott, I will miss your voice each morning. You make the market news bearable. Best of luck to you in your new role. Come back as a guest commentator when you can. We'd all be glad to hear you again!

Scott, I'll miss you in the mornings and will be sure to read your blog! I've appreciated your program; how it's put sometimes complicated issues into "layman's terms" for all of us non-economists out there. It's required listening in the morning for me. In fact, I work my schedule around it so I'm sure to be in the car at 7:50am.

Good luck with the blog!
