TEXT OF STORY

Scott Jagow: Finally, a personal note. Today is my last day hosting the Morning Report. But I won't be going far. I'll be taking on a new role at Marketplace, as the lead blogger for our Web site. And I'll be hosting our weekly podcast, After the Bell. In both roles, I'll be sharing perspectives on the economy and interacting with listeners.

I look forward to it and to working when the sun is out. I've thoroughly enjoyed the last three and a half years. And I hope you'll join me in the online world at marketplace.org.

In Los Angeles, I'm Scott Jagow. Thank you for listening, and I'll talk to you soon.

Scott, I'm totally thrown for a loop. Seriously, I am having a hard time leaving at the correct time for work in the morning because I was almost totally dependent on your cues! I miss you already!

Scott, I miss you already! I have been listening to you on Marketplace for the past three years and your reports quickly became part of my morning routine. I wish you luck with your new role but will continue to miss hearing your voice during my drive to work. Your replacement sure has some big shoes to fill!

Dear Scott:

There’s one here in Japan who miss you hosting the Marketplace Morning Report. I started listening to “Marketplace” on internet few years ago and have enjoyed the program recently on a portable device during my commute to work. I liked the way that you start a program with a very short sentence, briefing the news that you’re going to report, which makes me interested in the topics beforehand. I also liked the way you speak, which is clear and easy to listen for a listener like me who studies English as a second language. And, I should not forget your video clips from which I enjoyed exotic views of Egypt a lot.

I wish you a good luck in your new role.

Scott,
I often thought about you researching your commentary for the morning during the night. Then I wondered what you did during the day. I hope your new gig is as helpful to the rest of us as this past job was. It was a great way to start my day - hearing from somebody that was so down to earth about explaining the economy. Keep up the good work. Cheers!

Dear Scott,
I thought you did a great job as the host of the Marketplace Morning Report program. I enjoy listening to it on KWMU during my morning commute in the metro St. Louis area. I was sorry to learn on Friday that it was your last day as host, and wish you all the best.
Regards,

Scott,

My wife and I are regular contributors to our local PBS station and avid listeners to your Marketplace Morning Report. We will miss your lively and cogent commentary very much. I hope that you stay involved in this type of endeavor. Thanks for your contribution to our lives.

Scott,

I wish you luck in your new position. I've really enjoyed your time as host of the Marketplace Morning Report--I listen every morning on my way to work--and hope your replacement will be at least half as good :) Thanks so much!

Scott,
It's great to see a "good guy" from Charlotte continue to advance his career, but it sure won't be the same in the morning without your educational and entertaining report. But we can all appreciate the need to "see the sun" in our career. Don't forget the sunblock before venturing out into the sunlight. Best wishes for continued success! You have an army of fans.

Scott,
It will not be the same without hearing you wonder how Alan comes of with his answers on Monday's, where the good market news is on Wed's and reviewing the week on Fri. When you end your show and Say Have a Great day, I enjoy that feel it gives me. Thanks so much. I wish your success with your new jobs, we all hope to hear you soon.

Scott, My IT friends and I will miss you dearly but look forward to your blog. None of us are Financial experts but we work in the financial industry so everything we learn from the show helps us to better understand what is happening to our organization. Each morning we would all listen on our way in on WAMU in Washington, DC and then talk about what we heard on the morning report. Keep up the good work and we will be reading with the same enthusiasm that we listened with.
