We told you about the November jobs report out today and that brought Americans relatively good news. But once people get those jobs, how productive are they?

One way to measure that is by how many days they're out of the office.

A recent survey by Expedia finds the average American worker earned 14 days of vacation this year, but will end up using only 12.

In today's Mid-day Extra, we ask: how much is vacation time worth?

For a little perspective, we went to John Schmitt, senior economist with the Center for Economic and Policy Research in Washington, DC.
