The Federal Reserve held its first ever press conference today led by Fed chief Ben Bernanke. Meanwhile, the media is scoring big with the royal wedding coverage in London this week. We also heard stories on how technology is making it easier for everyone to be a "Little Brother," and about Sony's delay in explaining a possible privacy breach. Commentator David Frum gave his take on National Labor Relations Board versus Boeing. And American political consultants find a calling in Egypt. And here are the songs we played:

  • Love Jones - J DillaBuy
  • It's a Secret - Flying Lotus
  • Model Spy - CineramaBuy
  • Space - Like a Goodnight Kiss
  • Clumsy (Instrumental) - FergieBuy
  • Westworld - JapancakesBuy

RE:
MASOUD: I think that any political candidate who gets on the phone and hires, you know, James Carville, and if that became known, that would severely limit their appeal and credibility and popularity with the Egyptian population.

Consultants say that, in their line of work, confidentiality is key, and as Ben Goddard puts it, their goal is to stay "as invisible as possible."

I find this quite ironic.

It seems as if the candidate who has the most money AND who is best at developing and managing 'invisible' relationships - deals under the table - is most likely to win.

No wonder we don't trust anyone in Washington!
No wonder we are growing more cynical!

And this the form of democracy we are exporting around the globe?!

Very sad.
