President Obama spoke today, urging for more hiring in the private sector. Obama is relying on tourism and green energy, but it could take another round of stimulus, some economists say. More and more companies are being hit with cyber attacks; now is the time to figure out how to best handle the consequences. New numbers show that Facebook has lost a number of users recently. We heard about how the art and science of selling food can be redirected to fight obesity, and about the well-funded Mexican drug operations along the Southwest U.S. border. And Kai spoke with former GM vice chairman Bob Lutz about the company and his new book, Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business. Here are the songs we played:

  • Son of Neckbone - Beastie BoysBuy
  • Hot Cakes - El Ten ElevenBuy
  • Spectacular feat. Sharon Jones - DujeousBuy
  • 1st and 4th - Mux MoolBuy
  • Secret Breakfast - CitayBuy

Kai, is it not enough that I donate to NPR? Having Lutz on about his 'book' was paid advertisement! Doesn't the world know how full of **** that idiot is? He's a self proclaimed hold over from the 60's, a.k.a 'The good ole boy network'; thus a total moron. He's pretty much a failure and makes all the wrong moves from killing the EV-1 to the Volt which doesn't even charge the battery when the engine is running on gas! Wow, what innovation. Saying he's a failure is being kind, I apologize both to the word failure and moron, Lutz makes failure and moron look pathetic! Doh! Now I'm offending the word pathetic. I typically enjoy Marketplace but today I hurled for the first time in 10 years; ugh. Kai, don't do it again...I'm begging you.
