Businesses in Japan are being greatly affected by the aftermath of the quake and tsunami -- carmakers like Toyota have kept their plants closed; GE is coming under attack for design of the stricken Fukushima reactors. Commentator David Frum gave his take on nuclear power.

Who picks your bumper music? It is by far the most dreadful I've heard on any show. Sounds like groove music from hell. Its so annoying that on occasion I've had to turn off the radio, which is too bad, because I like Marketplace. Your program deserves much better music.

pfffft! paul stanley is just bummed because his band has been in the toilet for the last 30 years. ;-) i like your choices in between segments, and the only reason i'm here was to find the song with that awesome bass line that reminded me of bauhaus. it was "weekend," and i realized that i've seen them before. guess i need to buy the album!
