For Marketplace Morning Report, Friday July 22, 2011

Here are today's top headlines from the Marketplace Morning Report and from around the web.

European countries and the IMF pledged another $155 billion to bail out Greece.

Back here in the U.S., a Chinese company helping to build part of the new Bay Bridge in San Francisco is hoping to change perceptions about China's construction quality.

More news on the debt talks. To meet Republican objections to a debt deal, President Obama is floating a plan that would make spending cuts first and tax reforms later. Meanwhile, Sen. Kent Conrad of North Dakota says months, not a few extra days, are needed beyond the August 2nd deadline to pass debt deal. And 50 mayors from around the country are putting the pressure on Congress to reach a deal. The mayors are meeting in Los Angeles. Plus, CBS/MoneyWatch Editor-at-large Jill Schlesinger explains how Americans have become more open to tax cuts as part of a debt solution.

After taking a hit during the recession, magazine advertising is reviving, particularly for women's fashion magazines this fall.

And finally, are you planning to catch a movie this summer? Is it a superhero flim? This year's summer movie season is full of superhero flicks -- but they've been hit or miss at the box office. Why aren't audiences showing up?
