On this Columbus Day, we talked about the latest Nobel Prize winners — two Americans and one Brit who showed how unemployment and job vacancies can exist together. New York Times columnist David Leonhardt had a commentary about the deficit, and what really needs to be done to try and get ourselves out of the hole. As Microsoft unveiled its new Windows 7 phone today, we also had a story from Steve Henn about augmented reality and how its changed the way we interact with technology. And speaking of interacting with technology, studies show texting while driving may be more dangerous than driving while intoxicated. Some software developers are trying to help people to drive safer, and it could even make you a bit richer. And on the subject of the road, we heard from our latest Road Warrior on her favorite music to keep her going. If our music kept you going, here are the names of the songs we played:

  • Walls Came Down – The CallBuy
  • Rent Money Gone Again – George ButlerBuy
  • Reality – RJD2Buy
  • 25 Miles – Edwin StarrBuy
  • Dr. Crash – Yo La TengoBuy
