Does Bill really believe "it would have been better if the world ended on Y2K?" He never would have hosted Marketplace, gotten married, or had a child. Beyond his personal life, there are another 7 billion folks on the planet - and many of those folks found the decade economically disappointing, but life still worthwhile.
Be careful, Bill. You run the risk of knowing the price of everything and the value of nothing. Life remains a precious gift - even with prevalent economic madness.
