Japanese singing sensation Hatsune Miku holds last concert

And finally, Japanese singing sensation Hatsune Miku gave what was billed as her last concert in Tokyo today. It was sold out -- 10,000 tickets at nearly 80 bucks a pop.

The interesting part: there is no Hatsune Miku. She's not a real person; she's a computer generated avatar developed by Crypton Future Media.

Fans write her songs and a projection of her appears on stage -- with mint green pigtails.

And she's not bad...

@Greg: Woah, woah. You can blame the press and the reporters for being slow but not the fans on the east coast. You know how PISSED and jealous we are because the west coast had it and not the east? Oh and yea, I blame these reporters for being slow too. -____-
These events happened YEARS ago and the trend grew really popular a while ago. If they haven't noticed, there was even a few Toyota advertisements featuring Miku to promote the Corolla (google it)

You realize that Hatsune Miku held a sold-out concert in LA last year? You folks in New York are so behind the times. What you report as "news" is so "last year" on the West Coast...
