The Romneys love McDonald's

This final note today, following on Mitt Romney's lunch yesterday with the president.

Maybe some of you have heard this before, but it came as news to me that Gov. Romney does like him some McDonald's. So, in fact, did his father, the late George Romney.

Turns out, Romney the elder had done some business dealing with Ray Kroc, who of course founded the chain. And in return, Kroc had given him a card entitling him to free burgers for life. Plus fries and a drink.
