College football's BCS may be on its way out

On the field prior to the 2012 Allstate BCS National Championship Game on January 9, 2012 in New Orleans, La. In a few years, the BCS may cease to exist.

And this final note: word from Hollywood, Fla., that the college football bowl championship series, or BCS, may be on its way out.

The "P" word -- as in playoff -- is now being uttered by commissioners of the various conferences. Just what, or who, will decide which teams get into a playoff? That's still under intense debate.

But word is, the BCS will be no longer exist after the 2014 season. Booya.
