Bradshaw prefers PC to Mac in 'Sex and the City 2'

Sex and the City's Carrie Bradshaw works on her old Mac laptop, which has been replaced by a Hewlett Packard in the new "Sex and the City 2" movie.

Product placement and summer blockbusters go together like popcorn and melted butter, which could mean a potent boost for Hewlett Packard. The PC has procured the role of Carrie Bradshaw's new laptop in Sex and the City 2, replacing the Mac Bradshaw uses in the TV show.

Mac has always been the computer with star power, but PCs have inched up on the big screen's radar since they've gotten a makeover. Tech consultant Tim Bajarin with Creative Strategies says since PCs look better, their companies have put more money behind product placement. "Now you have all the PC companies with all these unique laptops vying for Hollywood." The appearance upgrade could mean fewer leading roles for Apple.
