"What if...?" That question has guided Paul Allen his whole life. From the moment he proposed to Bill Gates that they write programming language for the first personal computer to his Institute for Brain Science, Allen's curiosity has affected -- if not revolutionized -- many sectors.

His memoir, Idea Man, covers all his business ventures, but what will interest readers most is his take on the early days of Microsoft and his much written about relationship with Bill Gates.

Marketplace sat down with Allen for a trio of interviews with the hosts of three Marketplace programs, to examine a variety of aspects of his career and life's work: Marketplace Host Kai Ryssdal talks with Allen about his career building successful businesses, as well as his relationship with Gates during the founding years of Microsoft. John Moe, host of the Marketplace Tech Report, goes in-depth with Allen about today's world of smartphones and cloud computing, and how Microsoft fits in. Marketplace Morning Report Host Steve Chiotakis gets Allen's take on how today's entrepreneurs can get a good idea off the ground, and whether or not we're experiencing a new tech bubble.

Great Interviews. I'm hoping Mr. Allen beats his health challenges. We need his ideas and "change agent" HELP by Teaming up with his pals, Bill Gates and other top business leaders to offer their expertise and leadership in renewing "Our Country" by partnering our Washington Leadership (at least the level headed executive and congressional leaders)and our President to put in place, An Action Plan to Build a New, Stable, growth oriented America for the Future rooted in a balanced and shared strategy for our Country's Debt Reduction, Infrasturture and Energy Renewal, Eduaction and Retraining Revitalization, Economic Development and Growth, Job Creation, and Fiscal Integrity and Sustainability for our generations to come ... all within a context and system of values, ethics and integrity and a bias for action. Lets march on Washington and demand that things get done in the best interests of Our Country. We can stop the partisianship we see everyday and every week everywhere we look: in magazines, on TV, on talk shows. Let's Go !
