There's new bling bling on the high seas

You'd think just owning a yacht would be enough of a luxury. But not for UK jeweller and designer Stuart Hughes, whose 98-foot yacht is now the envy of every sailor.

Valued at $4.5 billion, the History Supreme is covered in over 220,400 lbs. of gold and platinum that covers more than half of the vessel's surface.

And as if that's not enough to impress you, take a look at the statue made from the bone of a real Tyrannosaurus rex.

The base of the yacht, the dining areas, the rails, and the anchor are all wrapping in solid gold. But don't feel sorry for the bedrooms on the boat. The sleeping areas got the special treatment -- they're covered in platinum. And the glow of the master bedroom is tempered by the wall feature, made from meteoric stone and an aquarium made from 68kg of 24 carat gold.

Do all those precious metals and rare artifacts make you thirsty? How about a sip from a a luxury liquor bottle featuring one of the world's rarest 18.5ct diamond?

If you'd like to be surrounded by precious metals, but boats just aren't your thing -- you're in luck. Mr. Hughes has also produced laptops, beds, cars and even a suit, all covered in precious metals.

Although I don't believe in taxing the rich for what they have EARNED, but how many people could have a job or house or clothes because this idiot spent to much money on crap.

Wow, serious rancor going on here. We all have our vices, why not let the uber-rich have theirs? I'm not going to ask someone to give up the use of their own money for their own enjoyment any more than someone else has the right to tell me how to spend mine.

And for the name-callers - show some class and at least have enough courage to put your name. "Anonymous" indeed. Feh.

Wow! The owner(s) should charter it to those who can afford it and then the government should tax the revenues at an exorbitant rate.

Decadence shouldn't come cheap!!

You are the idiot. Many people do have a place to live and food to eat because somebody built/bought this boat. Ever consider the gold miners, craftsman, builders etc. that were employed as a result of building this boat?

What a ridiculous response. Because we have high unemployment this makes a difference? Perhaps we should build more nuclear weapons or start another war to boost job creation.
